About this object

Rectangular tablecloth with scalloped, Cluny bobbin lace edging. The main body of the tablecloth is linen. The simple, geometric outer border has Venise needlelace insets with a woman's head design at corners, and filet diamond insets along edges. White embroidery and linen cutwork at the center of the cloth is framed with shaded filet rectangles and corner cornucopia. Oval Bruges bobbin lace medallions of formalized vase and flower patterns are placed at each end. This area is also surrounded with white embroidery and linen cutwork.
