About this object
This off-white doily is round in shape. It is made from Normandy patchwork with four oval embroidered muslin medallions and cut bits of different machine Valenciennes laces, including the edging. The outer border is a series of scallops enclosing a floral design. Next is a row of more flowers on a mesh background. The interior has nine quadrants of which the four outer ones are large and round in shape. All enclose flowers.
