The background is in dark green velvet. There is a space left without embroidery where the saddle was intended to be. About this is embroidery is stylized leaf and vine motifs in gold and silver threads with pieces of red velvet. The lower section has as series of squares with gold crosses and stars on a red brocade. These are all within a lattice of silver threads. The border has an rinceau with stylized leaves and flowers in gold and silver threads and pieces of red velvet. Around the whole is a red velvet border in yellow fringe.
