About this object
The central section is a piece of brocade with a large design of leaves in gold on silver threads and flowers and other designs in colors. On this is sewn a cross in gold thread. The central section is a Near eastern piece of jewelry set with red and greens tones. Other semi-precious stones are set on the ends of arms. The whole is outlined in pieces of mother of pearl cut to resemble pearls. The outer section of the altar cloth is in peach colored velvet covered with lace and gold and silver threads.
