About this object

The musicians are carved in ivory and they stand on barrels carved in wood. The main part of the barrels is in a natural color and the part representing the iron hoops is stained black. They have been carved from several pieces of ivory and pierced together. .4 is the conductor. He holds his baton in his right hand. He wears a top hat, a long coat, a big bow tie, trousers with boots.
