About this object

The horn is bent back on itself and forms a circle. The end has two eyes inset in it to make it look like an animal's head, possibly a snake. The cover has a brass mount suggesting thistle leaves and an oval medallion for an initial in the center. The tip of the cover is curved upward to make it easier to open.
