About this object

The body of the round box has ribs like a melon which slope upwards. The bottom is decorated with turned circles. The cover has a similar melon-like ribbing for the sides and is set on the top with a red glass paste stone which is surrounded by a metal collar. The metal looks like a wreath. About the paste are turned circles in the ivory like those on the box.
