About this object

The horn is short and tightly curled, probably from a sheep. The cover is in horn with a piece of cork inside to make it tight and has a silver mounting. The hinge is made in silver. It has a scalloped design and had the date inscribed on it. On the center of the cover is a small silver medallion engraved with the initials of the original owner AC S.
