About this object

The four poster bed is made in the Chippendale style. The top of the canopy is coverws with a pleated pale beige silk flounce around the sides. There are side curtains at the head of the bed. Over the plain headboard is an embroidered beige transparent material. It has fluted posts that end is carved bases that rest on lion claw and ball feet. The canopy frame is carved in an openwork acanthus design.
