About this object

The table is made in the English Adam style. The corners are cut off to form an eight-sided table top. It stands on two lyre-form pedestals with lion-paw feet. The lyres have three vertical supports in the center made from a darker wood. It is made in a pale wood, which is inlaid with two narrow intertwined bands of greenish wood on the top. On the sides is an inlaid design with twisted laurel leaves and berries. There is one drawer on the longer side, and a small drawer on the short side.
