About this object

The side chair is carved in a balloon shape on the back. The top is carved with grapes and leaves. There is a single slat in the back which is carved in a leaf design. It has a carved serpentine front. The knees are also carved. The legs are slightly curved with plain ends. The seat is upholstered in needlework in a small geometrical pattern in dark red and blue.
