About this object

The chest is made in the seventeenth century Dutch style. It has a plain rectangular box shape. The outer shell has a geometric pattern on it. The front has nine drawers which are inlaid with ivory. Each drawer has an ivory pull and a design of scrolls. It stands on five turned legs which are connected by a shaped slat stretcher and rests on bun feet.
