About this object
The screen has two panels, each with a slightly arched top. The thick border is deeply carved with flowers and leaves. The center of each panel has a smooth lacquered panel decorated with applied branches and birds in relief in ivory and mother of pearl. On the right panel is a palm tree, five flying birds and a spray of roses. On the left panel is a flowering tree, two doves and a bird house. Each panel is set in a deeply carved wooden frame with a lattice design. At the bottom of each panel is a wooden panel carved with a dragon. The two panels are hinged in the center.
