About this object

In gilded wood in Louis XVI style. Frame of back with carved twisted ribbon motif. Center splat in carved openwork with two arrows and with ribbon tied in a bow. Seat caned, covered with removable upholstered seat pad, approximately one dozen in several colors. Front legs round, channeled and tapered, topped by squares enclosing rosettes. Back legs plain, square, slightly outplayed. Front and sides of seat with carved reeded motif bound with crossed ribbons.
