About this object

Back top rail turned and with central spiral section, splat with openwork scrolls and center oval medallion with carved shell motif. Side supports have short spiral section between squares. Caned seat and flat detachable cushion covered with quilted fabric. Legs splayed out. Double channeling follows the length of the sides of the chair from the top of the back to the foot of the front legs. Back legs are plain.
