About this object

The armchair is upholstered. It has a shield-shaped back and seat covered in needlepoint. The needlepoint has a slate blue ground covered with a bouquet of flowers on the back, and a basket of flowers on the seat. The wooden arms are open with plain carving. It has a turned stretcher, cabriole legs, and pad feet. The design on the back is of orange sunflowers.
