About this object

The cabinets have each on the front a drawer across the top, below this a small section with a double door concealing two drawers and below that a large door tapering and showing shelves. The drawers at the top have an openwork band with small acanthus plants. The band is beaded on all sides. The door has an elaborate acanthus and floral motif for the keyhole covering. The border is a simple moulding with the inner edge beaded. The large lower door has a similar frame with a large ormolu decoration with an urn with flowers, cornucopias, etc. The lock goes across half of the door with a modern knob handle at the left. The channelled circular corners have ormolu floral motifs in each channel at the top and the bottom. The sides have the same decoration across the tops as across the drawers and the same frame with beading. The tapering legs have ormolu bands.
