About this object
The rectangular top is in three sections: the top and two leaves which fold outward. The top when folded is covered with a simple marquetry of a large diamonds, half the pattern being on each leaf. When open, each leaf and the central portion is inlaid with a similar rectangular diamond pattern. Below this is a single drawer with a lock and one partition inside. The front of the drawer and the sides of the table are inlaid with vertical strips of wood. The pedestal leg is octagonal, tapering toward the bottom and with a small capital and base. The base of the table is also octagonal and slightly pyramidal in shape, each face of the octagon being covered with wood in marquetry. There are three lion's feet in wood.
