About this object
The two tables are the same. The round top and a smaller lower shelf are in white marble edged with a narrow band of gilt bronze with gadrooning at the top edge. The three legs curve inward and then outward at the base and have each a row of beading on the outside. Each one is topped by a ram's head in high relief, and ends in a hoof and acanthus leaf. The three legs are joined by three stretchers near the floor within which is a miniature incense burner on three hoofed legs sitting on a round platform.
