About this object

On the top is an oval superstructed 10 inches high with two shallow drawers that swing out (in middle of top); brass gallery around sides of top which is fitted with glass; marquetry on top in lattice pattern with diamond-shaped panel containing monogram "MPD;" three shaped drawer sections, top in three parts, center with round pull, two small side drawers, two loer drawers all in one piece; drawers banded in darker wood; gilt bronze pulls like wreaths; gilt bronze mounts at top sides; short legs square and tapered.
