The soup plate is decorated in sepia. In the center is a view of St. Michaels Cathedral in Kiev. Around the rim are smaller views all labelled in Russian. Alternating with the views are eight pointed stars. The outer edge has a pointed design. There is a design of acanthus leaves between the views and stars.
