About this object

The jar is in the style of a posset pot. It has a cover that is decorated with four vertical strips that curve upwards and converge in the center. In the center is a post which is topped by a cross. The body of the jar has two handles, each of which has a bird perched on top of it. The base is round and the body is fat. It is decorated in blue, red, and yellow in many designs.
