About this object

A statuette of a man in eighteenth century costume with a dog. He leans over to his left and raises his left hand to his shoulder. He carries a long coat in the crook of his right arm which he has placed on his hip. He looks down towards the hound dog at his feet which has jumped up onto the man's leg. The man is dressed in a frock coat with a ruff at the neck, tight knickers and boots. He has powdered hair.
