About this object
The shape of the vases is classic. The rim is wide and overhanging. Each has two upstanding handles. They stand on a round pedestal foot with an attached rectangle. There are white rings on the stem and base. .1 is painted with an interior showing four figures. There are two men, a woman and a child, with one of the men seated and drinking. The scene is typical of northern renaissance genre scenes. On the other side is a scene of a shore line with a building on a promotory. In the distance is a sailboat and a mountain.
