About this object

The small box is shaped like the head of a young lady. She has a tall powdered hairdo and wears a black half mask. Her eyes are two rose-cut diamonds. The box is mounted in gold with a ring at the top for hanging on a ribbon. The cover at the back is set with a piece of moss agate.
