About this object

The vase is short with a wide mouth. The handles are gilded eagles with outspread wings that extend onto the top of the vase. On one side below the British crown are two medallions, each with a portrait head of George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Around each is a spray of laurel. Below is a banderolle outlined in gold with an inscription in gold. On the opposite side is an American eagle with a shield on his breast with an inscription in blue and gold. Below is a banderole outlined in gold with an inscription in gold. The foot has a leaf chain around it.
