The ground of the oval shaped platter is pink with disseminated silver foliage motives; the handles at either side are in the form of leaf scrolls and features each a shaped panel with the self-portrait image of Cindy Sherman as Madame de Pompadour; in the center, a white ground welcomes the tureen’s feet.
