About this object

These are from the Soldiers of the American Army series. It shows two cadets from West Point. The one on the right is facing to the left. He holds a bugle in the crook on his bent right arm. His other arm is at his side and he stands straight. The other cadet stands straight as well, facing forward. He holds a rifle with bayonet in his right hand and leans it against his left shoulder. They are dressed in uniform with tall hats. They stand on a grassy ground. This is surrounded by a thin gilt band, as is the outer edge of the plate.
