About this object
The tea set consists of one teapot, one creamer, one slop bowl, six cups and six saucers. The decoration is an oriental style. The pieces have round medallions framed in blue and gold, centering a grotesque Oriental monster in Chinese red on a white ground. The rest of the background has a scattering of small silver resist lustre leaves interspersed with Chinese motifs, and floral designs in red and blue.
