About this object
The tea set consists of one cake plate, eleven cups, eight saucers, six plates, and one slop bowl. The ground is white with a design in yellow outlined in gold. The rims of the plates and saucers show six panels filled with a symbol similar to the Hippocratic symbol of a staff with a snake. These are separated by leaf motifs. The shapes are simple and the cake plate has two handles.
