About this object

The statuette represents a man in 18th century costume. The man is seated on a white rock splotched with green. He sits with his left leg crossed over his right knee. He wears a lavender short-sleeved coat over another long-sleeved coat in white. On his bended leg rests an oval wicker basket full of fruit and flowers. His pants are turquoise with purple flowers. His stockings are white and his shoes are black. Seated at his feet is a white dog with black spots. The dog looks up at his master and the man leans over towards the dog. The base is round and decorated with a greek key meander scroll.
