About this object

The statuette shows a young woman standing. She is an allegory of America from a set of the four continents. A parrot perches on her bent right arm. She holds a brown bow in her lowered left hand. At her feet is a white quiver of arrows resting on a white cornucopia with flowers at the mouth. On her head is a crown of feathers and a blue bow at her left ear. She is nude except for a pale green cape, loin cloth and cuffs on her calves all made of feathers. There is a green leafy trunk used as a support at the back. She stands on a white base with rococo scrolls touched in gold.
