About this object

The statuette is of a Ranelagh Dancer. He is a young man who is standing with his right hand on his hip, and his left hand outstretched. He is wearing a pink and white tricorn hat, a green cape with a pink lining, a flowered orange jacket, a striped yellow, green and white short puffed peplum, purple pants, white stockings, and yellow shoes. He leans against a white tree stump at his back. This is covered with flowered branches that extend outwards in half circles. He stands on a white base with rococo scrolls touched with green and gold.
