About this object

The statuette represents Pierrot from the Commedia dell'arte. He is a young man who is standing with his arms raised to waist heighth. He is wearing a yellow wide brimmed hat, a large white round scalloped collar, a yellow jacket with gold trim, pale green flowered trousers, and black shoes. At his back is a white tree stump from which extend two green leafy branches. The branches have blue flowers at the left and three flower clusters in relief on the irregular base.
