About this object

The statuette represents a shepherdess. She is a young woman who is standing and holds a purple flask by a black strap in her left hand. She is wearing a small tilted yellow and rust hat, a low cut green bodice, white blouse, white overskirt containing flowers and fruit, a rust underskirt with green bordered reserves containing flowers and gold leaves, a skirt that is pink at the back, and pink shoes. There is a recumbent lamb at her feet to her left. At her back is a white tree stump with two green leafy branches that extend to either side of her. They have multicolored trumpet flowers in high relief. The round rococo base is decorated with scrolls touched with pink and gold.
