About this object

Cup is urn shaped with a handle ending in leaf sprays. On front is painted a bust of a female personification, probably Ceres. Rest of side is decorated with sprays of roses with green and gold leaves. Borders are gilt, as is also the handle and most of the interior. Saucer has matching sprays of roses with green and gold leaves and gilt borders.
