About this object

All have a cluster of flowers in natural colors on a white ground in the bottom of the plate. On the rim are six irregular cartouches with a white ground. The cartouches are painted with fruit, flowers or animals; usually one cartouche with each of the first two and four with animals, one animal to a cartouche. The animals vary considerably; there is some repetition, but never in the same combination. The rim between them is painted alternately blue and magenta.
