About this object

The center of the plate is decorated with a printed scene of groups of people enjoying the park and pond of the Tauride Palace, which is visible in the far distance. Three swans are visible in the pond. Groups of leafy trees frame the vignette. The scene is surrounded by a series of borders: a solid gold border, followed by a slightly mottled pink translucent glaze border, and finally a laurel leaf border in gold on a white ground along the rim.
