About this object

Center of plate is painted with a printed romantic landscape, figures, a cow and sheep in the foreground and two men under a tree. The middle distance has a lake with rowboats. Next is a high embankment with a palace with columns on the front. This section has a plain gold border. The outer border has green fleurettes with swags of leaves in gold. The edge has a green band between two gold ones. There are other plates from this service illustrated in Wolf, La Manufacture Imperiale de Porcelains a St. Petersburg, plate. 142.
