About this object

From the Orlov service, this pot is one of two that has a ring foot and the shape bulges in the lower part. On the front and back of each is a medallion with a gold border containing the initials of Count Gregory Orlov in Russian, TTO. Around the lower part of the pot is a landscape in silver and about the upper edge a border in gold. The handles are in gold. Each cover has a gold border and a landscape in silver and on the top a crown with nine points in gold and silver.
