Coffee Cup from the Orlov Service

About this object

Cups have the cipher of Count Gregory Orlov in gold as part of the decoration and have on both sides the cipher within a gold border. On two sides of each medallion is a group of flags, etc. in silver. The rims are in blue and gold. The saucers have the gold cipher within a medallion in the center with silver flags at either side. Around the sides run a scene (military) in silver. The covers are like that of the coffee pot, a decoration in blue and gold with two cupids playing, seated on a green hammock.
