About this object

Oval dish made for Empress Elizabeth I (Elizaveta Petrovna), moulded with spiraling gilt lattice-work, progressively smaller in mesh towards the center, each intersection marked with a forget-me-not florette colored in puce with yellow center, the lobed rim with gilt edges. Paste is quite white compared to plate and bowl.
