About this object

The ground is turquoise-blue; the edge is slightly scalloped; in the center on a white ground is the monogram PLR in leafy script in two tones of gold, (for Prince Louis de Rohan) sorrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and acorns springing from a broken section of a branch; on the rim are three oval panels reserved in white each containing one exotic bird in a landscape; between the panels are arching leaf scrolls and swags of oak leaves and acorns in gold.
