About this object

This plate is part of a set of 22 plates, each one presenting slight variations in the fruits, flowers and birds depicted on them. In the center, on white is a cluster of fruit and flowers, including a pink rose, purple peony, and a pink and yellow flower, reserved in white; three cabbage leaves on the rim reserved in white, contain each two exotic birds in a landscape setting; the areas between the leaves are painted solid turquoise-blue with gilt floral sprays; gilt garlands close the openings to the leaves and feathers, gilt edging outlines the leaves and the outside of the rim.
