About this object

Wide rim in true green bordered by narrow gold bands. Decorated in raised gold paint with the initial "N" over two sprays of laurel leaves and berries. Two more sprays below tied with a bow. On either side of rim, a quatrefoil with four dots. In the center of each plate is a painted military scene, usually of a Napoleonic battle, labeled underneath in overglaze aubergine with the location as designated above.
