About this object

Man (.1) and woman (.2). Young man as a gardener standing, holding a brown flower pot in his right hand, a gray spade with a brown handle, supported by his left, wearing a black brimmed hat, rose-red short sleeved jacket, white shirt, white and turquoise apron looped from his belt, pale yellow pants with scattered flowers, white stockings and black shoes. At the back a broken column mottled with reddish brown supporting the figure. Young woman as gardener holding a bunch of flowers in her yellow apron with her left arm, her right arm resting on a gray watering can which sits on a rectangular mottled marble fountain, with a gold grotesque mask out of which pours a bluish stream of water. She wears a yellow brimmed hat, turquoise kerchief, low pink laced bodice, white blouse, white bustle with scattered dark red flowers, pale green skirt with flowers and pink shoes. Both figurines on flat irregular bases with gold rococo scrolls and three flowers with leaves.
