About this object

The grounds is turquoise-blue; an oval panel reserved in white, framed by a plain gold band, and containing a painting of two exotic birds in a landscape appears on each of the two ends of the covers, on each of the two sides of the bowls, and on each of the two ends of the trays; between each pair of panels is an elaborate floral wreath tied with a ribbon bow all in gold. The handle on the cover is a plain gold knob.
