On each side is a gold encircled medallion on a white ground painted with a landscape. (1) Woman comparing her breasts with those of Cupid and labelled "La Comparaison," and (2) Cupid leading a woman into a forest and labelled, "La Resemblance ou les Volages." The foot, neck, spout and handle are all gilded.
