About this object
The ground is turquoise-blue, the lip is slightly flared and the sides taper down to narrower slightly indented bottom, an angular handle on each of two sides, on one side a panel with a painted scene on white with a young woman, a youth playing horn, and a smalll child, all seated on a grassy bank, on each of the other three sides a cluster of flowers on white, all the panels framed with gold floral scrolls, the interior of the lip decorated with gold floral swags forming turquoise-blue scallops. The blue areas are matte, i.e no glaze.
