About this object

The ground is pink, the jar has two medallions reserved in white, each containing a painting of a single exotic bird perched on a leafy branch, and framed by a narrow plain gold band, gold floral swags on the pink ground link the tops of the two medallions, the cover has a white center surrounded by a gold floral wreath edging the pink rim, the original porcelain knop on the cover has been replaced by gilt bronze acorns and leaves.
